Two-Door Wardrobe with Adjustable Shelves and Topper | New York, NY

Freestanding Wardrobe Fitted into an Alcove

This two-door wardrobe was delivered to a home in New York, NY, where it fits neatly into an existing alcove. The White Glossy front panels create a highly reflective, polished surface that catches light and brightens the surrounding area. A White Matte case provides a clean, neutral backdrop that pairs seamlessly with the glossy doors. The topper section above the main compartment adds an enclosed storage cabinet without increasing the unit's floor footprint. As a freestanding piece, the wardrobe requires no permanent installation and can be repositioned whenever the homeowner needs a change. This wardrobe closet demonstrates how a single well-designed unit can transform an underused alcove into organized storage.

All-Shelf Interior for Flexible Storage

Rather than traditional hanging storage, this wardrobe features an all-shelf configuration tailored to the homeowner's specific needs. Approximately seven adjustable shelves line the interior, providing dedicated space for folded clothing, linens, accessories, or household items. Each shelf can be repositioned to accommodate items of varying heights, from tall boots to flat folded sweaters. The flexibility of the adjustable shelving means the wardrobe can serve different purposes over time as storage needs evolve. Rod Chrome Handles on the doors and topper give the piece a clean, modern touch that complements the glossy finish. This modern armoire shows how adjustable shelving can adapt to any storage need.

Reflective Finish and Delivery Details

The White Glossy front panels reflect light throughout the alcove, keeping the space feeling open and bright even with a tall storage piece in place. The topper cabinet above the main compartment provides additional enclosed storage for seasonal items, extra bedding, or belongings that do not need daily access. Together, the wardrobe and topper create a single unified column of storage that maximizes vertical space from floor level upward. The two-door design keeps the piece proportional to the alcove without overwhelming the room. Contempo Space delivered and installed the wardrobe at the customer's New York home.
