This custom wardrobe closet system in Leather Pearl Matte was designed, built, and delivered to a New York City apartment. The system combines wardrobe storage with a center TV niche, giving the bedroom both a complete clothing closet and an entertainment area in one freestanding piece. The Leather Pearl Matte front finish has a soft, warm off-white tone with a smooth non-reflective surface. Rod Chrome handles run across every door and drawer, giving the piece a clean, coordinated look. The Stone Matte case finish is visible inside the open TV niche, creating a subtle two-tone contrast against the lighter doors.
Interior Layout: Hanging, Drawers, Shelves, and TV Niche
Opening the doors reveals several distinct storage zones. The left section has a chrome hanging rod for full-length garments with open space below. The center section features the open TV niche at eye level sized for a flat-screen TV with a cable pass-through in the back panel and three drawers directly beneath it for remotes, accessories, or folded clothing. The right section offers another hanging rod area alongside a column of adjustable shelves for shoes, folded sweaters, bags, or bins. Upper cabinets run across the entire top of the unit, each with its own adjustable shelf inside, adding a layer of concealed storage for seasonal items and bedding.
Freestanding Design with Professional Delivery
The wardrobe closet system stands freestanding against the wall and requires no permanent installation or wall mounting an important feature for apartment living. Despite its size, the system was delivered and assembled by Contempo Space with professional in-home installation. The combination of wardrobe sections, a TV niche, drawers, and upper cabinets replaces what would normally require a separate closet, dresser, and entertainment stand, making it a practical all-in-one storage solution for a bedroom.
