We've created a stunning bedroom transformation for this Rutherford, New Jersey apartment with a custom pier wall bed that's truly the ultimate in space-efficient luxury! This impressive 86" tall system combines a full-size platform bed with an incredible amount of integrated storage and lighting - it's like having an entire bedroom furniture suite built into one architectural piece. The design spans 100.5" in total width with the 57" center section beautifully framed by matching 21.75" side cabinets.
The flanking cabinets are storage powerhouses, each featuring two drawers at the base, a gorgeous glass nightstand shelf backed by mirrors (perfect for bedside essentials and creating a sense of spaciousness), double doors above concealing two adjustable shelves, and crowned with storage toppers featuring dual cabinet doors.
The center section is where things get really impressive! At the head of the bed, there's a convenient storage cabinet with a closing top - perfect for storing bedding. Above that, we've installed a mirror with integrated LED lighting that creates a beautiful ambient glow while making the space feel larger and brighter. The bridge spanning the top features four cabinet doors providing 22" of additional storage height - that's serious vertical storage that would otherwise go unused! The full-size platform bed includes four spacious drawers (two on each side), so even the bed contributes to the overall storage capacity.
The rich Charcoal Ash Matte finish creates a contemporary look that works beautifully in the Rutherford apartment.
