Custom Light Walnut Matte Bookcases & Study Closet | Spring Valley, NY

Custom Light Walnut Matte Bookcases and Study Closet for a Spring Valley Home

This custom bedroom and study project in Light Walnut Matte was delivered to a home in Spring Valley, New York. The project includes a tall bookcase, a bookcase positioned on a raised ledge, a matching door slab, and a full study closet system. Light Walnut Matte has a warm, natural wood grain with a smooth non-reflective surface that gives each piece a refined and inviting character. The consistent finish across all four pieces ties the bedroom and study areas together into a cohesive design.

Study Closet System with Drawers, Shelves, and Hanging Sections

The study closet system is the largest piece in this project, spanning a full wall with multiple organized sections. Two banks of drawers with Arch Bronze handles provide concealed storage for office supplies, documents, and personal items. Hanging rod sections accommodate coats and garments, while adjustable shelves hold books, boxes, and other supplies at varying heights. The combination of drawers, rods, and shelves gives the study closet the flexibility to serve as both a work storage area and an additional clothing closet, making the most of the available space.

Tall Bookcase and Ledge Bookcase in Light Walnut Matte

The tall bookcase provides four shelves of display and storage space in a compact vertical profile, making efficient use of floor space while offering plenty of room for books, decor, and personal items. A second bookcase of similar design is placed on a raised ledge, filling a recessed wall area with additional shelving for books and decorative items. Both bookcases feature adjustable shelf positions so the spacing can be changed to fit different items over time. Contempo Space delivered and installed all pieces at the customer's Spring Valley home with professional in-home setup.
