This custom walk-in master closet system in Elm Matte was delivered to a home in Spring Valley, New York. The project covers four walls of the master closet plus a center island and an adjacent linen closet, creating a complete dressing room with dedicated zones for hanging, folding, and display. Elm Matte has a rich, dark wood grain with a smooth non-reflective surface that gives the walk-in closet a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The combination of open shelving, double hanging rods, and a center island dresser transforms the space into a fully organized storage system.

Center Island Dresser with Arch Bronze Handles

The center island is the focal point of the master closet, standing in the middle of the room with eight drawers arranged in two columns of four. Arch Bronze handles accent each drawer front, contrasting with the dark Elm Matte finish to create a refined look. The island provides easily accessible storage for folded clothing, undergarments, jewelry, and accessories, while its flat top surface offers a convenient spot for laying out outfits or organizing items before placing them in the closet. The island configuration maximizes the center of the walk-in space that would otherwise go unused.

Four-Wall Closet System with Hanging Rods and Shelving

Each wall of the master closet is fitted with a custom Elm Matte system tailored to a specific storage function. Tall shelving towers line one side of the room, providing deep shelves for shoes, handbags, and folded items. Double hanging rod sections on the back wall accommodate both long garments on upper rods and shorter items below. Additional wall sections include single rods for full-length dresses and coats, along with a pull-out valet rod for outfit planning. A separate master linen closet just outside the walk-in provides shelved storage for towels and bedding. Contempo Space delivered and installed the complete master closet system at the customer's Spring Valley home with professional in-home setup.
