How many lbs can the clothes rod safely hold?

The steel hangrod that comes standard with this item is a regular duty hangrod which is perfect for normal hanging of clothing and other articles. For heavier duty hanging capacity, we recommend our Polished Chrome Hangrod item # 2200 which would replace the standard hangrod and must be ordered at the same time as the furniture in which it is to be placed.

Is it possible to have this closet in a cherry oak or espresso color?

We do have several finishes that are similar to the finishes mentioned which are called Java, Tinto Moro or Wenge Matte finishes. You can find them under the Matte section under Step 1 - Front Type.

Is the wenge matte color close to mahogany? I have mahogany furniture in the room right now.

There are many different shades of Mahogany so would be difficult to tell you for sure however I can tell you that prior customers trying to match Mahogany have considered Java being the lightest and most red finish with Wenge being the darkest brown, nearly black from far in dim lighting and Tinto Moro in the middle with medium dark red tones.

I want to put these closets in a finished basement, but don't think they will fit down the stairs. Can they be ordered unassembled, so I could put them together in place?

Although they do come pre-assembled from the factory as they are meant to fit through most standard doorways and aisles without issue, if you have a a unique situation which would prevent them fitting, we can have them delivered un-assembled to be assembled in place. The hangrod the comes with our Alta collection closets are a medium duty white powder coated steel hangrod, perfect for most hanging need. The hangrod can be upgraded to a heaver duty, larger diameter polished chrome hangrod. The Alta wardrobe collection is completely freestanding and does not need to be secured to your floors or walls.

Can you add in this Item # 19135 a second wardrobe rod in the middle in each wardrobe?

You can add item # 5532 Extra Shelf and Hangrod to add double hanging to a wardrobe. If you would like to add double hanging to both wardrobes, then you can order qty.2 of the extra shelf and hangrod.

It sure can. Simply add item # 5532 (or qty. 2 if you wish to add double hanging to both closets in the wardrobe package) which would give you and an adjustable dividing shelf with a hangrod mounted below to easily double your space in the wardrobe cabinet.

I am interested in purchasing an Alta wardrobe closet package, and had a few questions. Is the shelving fully customizable by purchasing the additional shelves? Is the clothes bar at the top of the unit removable?

The wardrobes come ready to accept adjustable shelves (sold separately) however the hangrod included in most wardrobe closets at the top is fixed and cannot be removed.

Can this be designed without hinges & doors so it is more of an open style for a walk-in closet?

Is it possible to get the mirrored 4 door Alta Wardrobe mirrored on both sides? Or the 499.00 one with doors on both side? I have a loft and need a 60 inch closet that looks good from living area and bedroom. Any suggestions?
