A key feature of the new Alta wardrobe collection is that each piece is designed to work together with all the other components. The heights and depths match up exactly, so whether the customer just needs a single door narrow wardrobe to hold a few extra items or they want to have a larger, full featured closet with some tall doors on one side and a combination of internal and external drawers around it, the choices are limitless and there’s no need to wonder if everything will match up.
There’s even a special corner closet, designed to connect wardrobes on two adjacent walls.
Custom, Not Compromise:
When a customer orders an Alta wardrobe, there’s no such thing as compromise. Made to order at the factory showroom, there are customization choices to be made for each piece, as well as the ability to have any furniture fully customized to whatever specifications the customer may need.
Contempo Space stocks an exclusive array of material and finish choices that can be applied to each wardrobe. These include common and uncommon wood finishes, glossy white or black. Colored glass fronts are available in every color of the rainbow, plus about a dozen colors not even represented on the rainbow..
Finally, there’s the reliable favorite, the mirrored wardrobe. The front of all or some of the doors or drawers can be manufactured in plain edge or beveled edge mirror.
Customers always love the mirrored wardrobe closets, because of their ability to replace an extra mirror above the dresser and tendency to make any size room look much more spacious than it would otherwise.
As if that weren’t enough, there are a variety of handle styles that can be chosen (at no extra charge) for each wardrobe closet, most of which are available in chrome or brass.
If that’s still not enough, the designers can work up fully customized pieces, limited only by physics.
Height:
While the starting height of six feet allows for ample storage, Contempo Space makes it simple to go even higher with wardrobe storage toppers. These matching pieces come in varying heights and extend the height of the existing wardrobes with additional enclosed storage, up to a total height of nearly nine feet of storage in the same amount of floor space.
Organization:
The designers of these wardrobes have thought of everything, and make it available in each piece. The basic expectations like shelving configurations and single or double hangrods of varying widths are of course represented.
Then there are some nice additional accessories that people don’t always think about: tie racks, belt racks, jewelry trays and wicker baskets are all available to help the closet’s new owner make the most efficient use of space.
But a custom wardrobe wouldn’t be a custom wardrobe without the ability to add some extra fancy add-ons. Features like a pull-out pants rack, built in hamper on extending sliders, or the pneumatic pull-down hang rod (yes, you read that right!) add a level of customizability that is hard to find at any price, yet still don’t cost an arm and a leg.
Delivery & Setup:
After the customer has picked out the perfect wardrobe, whether online, over the phone or at the factory showroom (Passaic, NJ, just outside NYC),
the Alta wardrobes can be delivered and setup right in the customer’s bedroom or another area of the home. The free standing Altas don’t require what would usually be called an installation.
